Solidarity
Walk

The Marão Walk, a Solidarity Walk for Inclusion, starts and finishes in the UTM Village.
All the money raised will be donated to Cercimarante, a crucial organisation supporting people with intellectual disabilities in the region.
Participants will walk through some of the streets of the historic centre of Amarante, on a circular route of solidarity and inclusion, which aims to raise awareness and integrate all citizens with those who are most vulnerable in our society, emphasising the need for greater concern and effective action towards this important social cause – supporting citizens with intellectual disabilities.

The race was brutal. Simply the toughest and most challenging race I've ever done. Not because of the length, but because of everything else. The adverse weather conditions (we experienced everything... rain, snow, hail, ice, wind, sun), the type of terrain (very technical and also very varied), the altimetry (both positive and negative)... basically everything!
