In 2026, the Ultra Trail do Marão is preparing another great celebration for the entiretrail running community. The event takes place between 26 and 29 March andchallenges thousands of adventurers to choose between one of five mountain racesand/or a hike, once again transforming the Marão territory into the natural epicentre oftrail running in the north of Portugal.

Being a UTM volunteer requires a lot of dedication, responsibility, passion for the sport, for nature, for our land and for helping others.

With the ULTRA TRAIL DO MARÃO, we want to make the Marão known to all thosewho visit us, both nationally and internationally, in order to boost tourism and raise theprofile of the Marvellous Kingdom. We consider this event to be a great opportunity, theperfect moment to showcase our culture, traditions, the hospitality of our people and thevariety of activities that the Marão has to offer.
